One World Week provides the space for people from diverse backgrounds to come together to learn about global justice, to spread that learning and to use it to challenge inequality, discrimination and degradation, locally and globally.

Staff changes at One World Week!

A huge thank you to Jenny Cameron, who for the past year has worked as the Ubuntu Project Manager, setting up the project and getting things well under way. Sadly, we are going to be saying goodbye to her in September, as her upcoming marriage involves a move back to her home town. We wish her well in her future.

We also want to thank Sarah Kilou, this year's intern researcher and writer for all her work. She has proved to be a valuable team member, consistently producing high standards of work including transforming the website and resources for this year. We were pleased to be able to accommodate her requests for extensions to her placement and now wish her well as she plans to move forward.

We look forward to introducing both Jenny and Sarah's successors in the autumn.

We have recently sent out a call for new Trustees. We would like to expand the team and hope that in addition to new staff members, we will also be able to introduce new Trustees.

Job Vacancy - Project Manager

"Exploring Ubuntu - One World Week Across Faiths"

One World Week, the national and international programme encouraging local action for global justice, is seeking to become more accessible to a wider range of UK communities, with an initial focus on Muslims.

A manager is sought for their innovative DfID-funded project: "Exploring Ubuntu - One World Week Across Faiths".

S/he will have significant experience of community education, action or campaigning in multi-cultural or faith-based settings in the UK, preferably in the field of global justice and sustainability.

S/he will be well organised, have excellent people and managerial skills and be a good communicator, with experience of, or ability in, project or organisation management, including budgets - ideally at a national level.
