Action Aid - Free downloadable teaching resources ActionAid produce free resources for schools which are packed with photos and stories from children around the world. With lessons in English, maths and science as well as in geography, citizenship and PSHE, their colourful resources span many topics, including: Climate change, education, water, human rights, natural disasters and conflict. Christian Aid has a wide range of resources including suggestions for assemblies. They are aimed at different age group. This is an example of one for primary schools: Beliefs and Actions in the World: can Christian Aid and Islamic Relief change the world? A new Religious Education (RE) teaching unit, which considers how faith based organisations, like Christian Aid and Islamic Relief work to change the world. The content is compatible with the English non-statutory National Framework for RE. It can also be connected with curriculum requirements in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. |
Islamic Relief - Development Education Islamic Relief's fresh new Development Education website provides a wealth of information and materials on Islamic approaches to their faith, and to global issues. Materials include posters, jigsaws, case studies, leaflets, pamphlets and more, all available to download free from the website. Materials cater from KS2 to KS4 and further education. |

Oxfam Education offers a huge range of ideas, resources and support for developing the global dimension in the classroom and the whole school. All of the resources here support Education for Global Citizenship – education that helps pupils understand their world and make a positive difference in it. |

Visit Practical Action's educational section,with comprehensive resources for different key stages and links to various parts of the curriculum. Resources cover sustainable design and technology, renewable energy, climate change and cross curricular resources. |

Packed with over 70 activities across 12 sections: family, garden, food, senses, music & games, story tent, Ghana, south Africa, India, China, Mexico, and Trinidad & Tobago. The handbook is great at demonstrating how global education can be a thread through learning and teaching from early years. A must for anyone working with the under fives.
