Responding to Climate Change in Africa; NGO action at Durban

The world's poorest people are on the frontline of our changing climate - and they're suffering first and hardest.

Christian Aid partner, PACJA, Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, has organised the Caravan of Hope. It will travel 3000 miles through 10 countries from Burundi to Durban with up to 200 climate change activists including crop farmers, pastoralists and representatives of women’s groups to the UN talks.
On the way, they will highlight the impact climate change is already having in Africa and collect signatures for the African People's petition calling for the richest countries to agree to further binding cuts on carbon emissions and for a fair deal for Africa.
Ally Carnwath, Christian Aid Africa Communications Officer, is joining the journey and will provide diary updates. Click on the Christian aid logo below to share the experience with him.
