OWW Handbook Launch

"Piecing Together One World - A handbook for taking local action for global justice"

Dear OWW Supporter

Don't miss out on your chance to meet OWW supporters in person on 7 April in London!

A reminder to book your place now at the Launch of the new OWW handbook – the first one published since 1989!

The official launch event for "Piecing Together One World - A hand book for taking local action for global justice" is fast approaching. We are all very excited about it and are expecting the first copies of the handbook to arrive in the office in the next couple of days.

As a reminder, the launch event is just over a week away on Thursday, 7th April 2011 at 5:30pm. It will be held at Christian Aid's Head Office, 35 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7RL. This is a few minutes' walk from Waterloo Station.

The handbook brings together the learning and ethos from our three-year DFID-funded Ubuntu project, in a simple to use guide. It has, of course, a One World Week flavour but can be used by any individuals or groups wishing to take local action for global justice.

It presents simple ways to take action and to work with like-minded people from different backgrounds, cultures, faiths and experiences.

Join our patron, Lord Griffiths of Burry Port, the trustees and staff of One World Week for the launch event There will be light refreshments and musical accompaniment by Baluji Shrivastav, the internationally acclaimed North Indian classical musician, composer and educationalist. We expect that the formal activities will start about 6:00pm, this will be followed by plenty of opportunities for browsing resources and networking until 7:30pm.

To assist our planning, please let Mina know by the end of this week whether you will be able to join us by calling her on 0118 939 4933 or by email.
