OWW Handbook Launch

"Piecing Together One World - A handbook for taking local action for global justice"

Dear OWW Supporter

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the official launch event for "Piecing Together One World - A handbook for taking local action for global justice".

The handbook brings together the learning and ethos from our three-year DFID-funded Ubuntu project, in a simple to use guide. It has, of course, a One World Week flavour but can be used by any individuals or groups wishing to take local action for global justice.

It presents simple ways to take action and to work with like-minded people from different backgrounds, cultures, faiths and experiences.

Join our patron, Lord Griffiths of Burry Port, the trustees and staff of One World Week for the launch event on the 7th April 2011. It will be at 5:30pm at Christian Aid's Head Office, just around the corner from Waterloo Station. There will be light refreshments and musical accompaniment by Baluji Shrivastav, the internationally acclaimed North Indian classical musician, composer and educationalist. We expect that the formal activities will start about 6:00pm, this will be followed by plenty of opportunities for browsing resources and networking until 7:30pm.

To assist our planning, it would be helpful if you could let Mina know whether you will be able to join us by calling her on 0118 939 4933 or by email.

P.S. We realise that many of you simply live too far away from London to make the journey, we wanted to send you the invitation anyway, just in case you happened to be in the area. Don't worry if you can't make it, if we have your postal address we will be sending you your personal copy in the coming weeks.
