New Theme! New Website!

OWW's 2017 theme is:

Good Neighbours

My World Depends On Us

22 - 29 October 2017

OWW invites you to explore how we can become good neighbours locally and globally.

More about the theme can be found on the Theme page of our new Website.

The key component of this year’s theme is to raise awareness of:

• how our everyday lives, actions and decisions impact upon our global neighbours – often adversely;
• what we need to do to improve that impact by being good neighbours.

and how we publicise the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals to draw attention to the needs of our global neighbours.

STOP PRESS: launch of our NEW WEBSITE.

It has been redesigned to make it easier to access by mobile phone and ipad and similar devices. You should also be able to find the resources you need more easily. All the pages have been revised and updated: the Doing OWW pages have been reorganised to help you put on appropriate events for your audiences; you can continue to upload your events, and there are suggestions for funding your event.

We are planning to add new pictures to illustrate the issues and how we tackle them through our events. Do you have photos from last year that you think would be appropriate? Please contact us.

The old and new sites will both be available until October but updates will only take place on the new site, from now on.

We are immensely grateful to Webber Design for all their work which has made this possible.

New Trustees - We urgently need some new trustees, please think long and hard about whether you or someone you know could join our small friendly Board. To find out more about what is involved, please look at our Trustee Recruitment Pack here.

We are also looking for Volunteers to help with resources for this year’s theme. Contributions to researching (e.g. Quotations); producing them (e.g. word searches) and uploading them on to the website etc. are urgently needed.
